Back Sov Skatepark

For over 10 years, the skate community has been advocating for Atlantic City’s first skatepark. Needing a place to skate, the skaters adapted an unused hockey rink into their skate haven. For years they built diy ramps that would get torn down by the city time and time again. Skaters consider this hockey rink and integral piece of Atlantic City skateboard history. Instantly, we saw the value in helping the AC skate scene accomplish its dream. Back Sov was very much a community effort. Between SkateAC, 48 Blocks, the city. community raised money, and a generous donation from the Hard Rock Casino, Back Sov came to fruition. We were able to work with a small budget and create a place which has seen constant use since completion.
